Raue Center For The Arts is excited to welcome Richard Marx at 8 p.m. on February 17, 2017. Don't miss the 1980's heartthrob and multi-platinum singer/songwriter known for smash hits like "Keep Coming Back" and "Hazard" as he rocks the Raue!

Marx has enjoyed innumerable highlights throughout his nearly three decade-long career as a performer, songwriter and producer. The Chicago native has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, starting with his self-titled debut, which went to #8 and spawned four Top 5 singles, including the chart-topping "Don't Mean Nothing," which earned Marx a Grammy nomination for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.

His follow-up album, "Repeat Offender," earned Marx even greater success as it hit number one and went quadruple-platinum with two number one singles. When both "Rush Street" and "Paid Vacation" went platinum, Marx achieved a seven-year string of triumphs and cemented his place in pop-rock music history.

Marx went on to launch a second very successful career as a songwriter and producer. Marx is known for his work on hit songs including Josh Groban's "To Where You Are," the NYSYNC hit "This I Promise You" and Luther Vandross' "Dance with My Father," which earned Marx a Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 2004.

Marx has continued to challenge himself throughout his career as a multi-talented artist and has scored an amazing total of 14 number one singles as a performer, songwriter and producer. To date, Marx remains the only male artist in history to have his first seven singles reach the Top 5 on the Billboard charts. Marx also holds the honor of being one of only a handful of artists who have scored a number one hit in each of the past four decades.

Tickets start at $49 and may be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212.
