Nova Scotia-based musician Rich Aucoin has released his new single "The Middle"today. A four-minute sonic journey highlighted by ethereal synths and an insistent bassline, Aucoin's vocals cut through as the track builds to an emotive peak. Pulled from his Hold EP set for release on March 16th, the official video premiered today withNoisey and was directed by Meags Fitzgerald.
The Hold EP is a dreamy four-track collection and a stark contrast to the short high-tempo songs from his previous release, hinting toward a rebirth for Aucoin. Tracks like "Release," which earned acclaim from the likes of Exclaim! and Impose Magazine, showcase his undeniable ability to transform and manipulate sound. Just as his last album led him on a bike tour across Canada while donating every cent to cancer research, fans should expect nothing less this time around.
Ahead of release, Rich Aucoin will bring his kinetic live energy to New York on February 27th at Elsewhere. Stay tuned as additional live dates are announced!
