Perez Hilton reports that Kylie Minogue is working with creative partner William Baker to conceive and possibly co-direct a jukebox musical of her hits.
Said Minogue: "I would like to get a couple of writers involved. I think we'll probably co-direct it." There is no word on a timeframe or location for the project, though hits like "Spinning Around" and "I Should Be So Lucky" are reportedly attached.
In July 1987, Kylie released her first single, a remake of the 1962 Little Eva hit "Locomotion." The song hit #1 in Australia and remained in the top spot for seven weeks, becoming the biggest Australian single of the '80s. Two decades later Kylie achieved the record for the most played female artist on UK radio over the past 20 years.
Since her debut, she has released ten studio albums, two live CDs, eight live concert DVD's, plus her 'Greatest Hits' and the 'Ultimate Kylie' double album, plus multiple video packages and almost 50 singles released internationally, most of which have been hits.
Kylie's newest album, 'Aphrodite,' will be released in the US on July 6.
