Reservoir announces the signing of pop-soul singer-songwriter Liza Owen to a worldwide publishing deal. The deal includes rights to Owen's catalog, including her recent collaboration with K-pop phenomenon BTS on the track "Airplane Pt. 2," off the group's #1 Billboard release, Love Yourself: Tear, plus future works.

"Liza Owen is an enormous talent with a special versatility in crafting hit songs across genres and cultures," says Reservoir EVP of Creative Donna Caseine. "There's so much more to come from Liza and I am thrilled to welcome her to the Reservoir family."

Based in Los Angeles and London, Owen, who counts fellow Reservoir writer Ali Tamposi as her mentor and frequent collaborator, also lists Diddy, Cedric Gervais, Bipolar Sunshine, Jonas Blue, and Steve Mac among the top talent with whom she has collaborated. Meanwhile, her recent co-write with BTS, "Airplane Pt. 2," has proven to be a favorite from fans and critics alike and was recently performed live on Ellen. BTS' album, Love Yourself: Tear, on which "Airplane Pt. 2" is included, has scored several U.S. chart achievements, most notably earning the first #1 for a K-Pop or World Music album on the Billboard 200, the biggest unit and sales week ever for a K-Pop album, and the second-biggest week for a group in 2018, second only to Migos' Culture II. Owen's songwriting credits will next be heard on Danish DJ Martin Jensen and American pop-singer Olivia Holt's upcoming single, "16 Steps," set to be released via Universal Music Group.

In addition to her work as a songwriter for others, the British-Cambodian-born Owen is a performer in her own right, having released her latest single, "Fallin," as a solo artist this past April. The cut follows previous single, "Don't Call Me Baby," which has topped over a million streams worldwide and earned tastemaker acclaim. Furthermore, she spent the last year and a half touring the globe with British DJ-producer Jonas Blue as his guest vocalist, with appearances across Europe and the United Kingdom.

"I'm beyond excited to be joining Reservoir, alongside my mentor Ali Tamposi," says Owen. "There really aren't enough words to describe how much of an incredible support Ali has been to me, so nothing makes me happier than to continue our journey together with the wonderful Donna Caseine and the entire Reservoir team. I look forward to all the great things to come."

Adds Tamposi, "Reservoir has been a crucial part of my career over the past two years and I am thrilled to help bring Liza Owen to the roster. I'm looking forward to many more years of collaboration with Liza and my Reservoir family."
