Red Baraat's BHANGRA PIRATES Out Now on Rhyme & Reason Records

Red Baraat's acclaimed album Bhangra Pirates is out now on Rhyme & Reason Records and hailed as a "...the most successful attempt to package that [live] energy yet for Red Baraat, ecstatic and frenzied, turning each individual listening at home into a full audience" according to PopMatters. It has also been met with support from SPIN, Brooklyn Vegan, WNYC Soundcheck, Paste, and the highly-coveted NPR Music Tiny Desk concert, one of the only bands to do it twice.

The band is currently on tour promoting their Festival of Colors, a celebration of HOLI, a Hindu holiday marked by public gatherings of families, friends, and strangers rejoicing in song, dance, and the exchange of "colors." The holiday signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and an opportunity to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive. The festival debuted in 2012 at a sold out Le Poisson Rouge in New York City and has since expanded to cities nationwide. This year's iteration will take place in NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC, Boston, Seattle, Portland, Philadelphia and beyond.
