Recording artist Elliott Carter passed away on Monday, November 5 at age 103. The Recording Academy has issued a statement regarding the two-time Pulitzer Prize winner.

His musically complex works have been performed by symphonies around the world and his career as both a music creator and educator will leave a lasting legacy for those who follow. He was a consummate talent who will be profoundly missed, and our thoughts and condolences go out to his family, friends and fans throughout the world.”
