Film and Broadway stage actress Rachelle Rak is starting a new chapter in her artistic career with the recent release of her debut album, SAS.  In celebration of the release, Rak will be judging a singing competition at Bartini tonight, July 27, at 10:30pm and performing her single, "SAS" at 11:30pm.

RAK, who is featured in the critically acclaimed documentary EVERY LITTLE STEP, has made her Broadway mark in FOSSE, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, CATS, OKLAHOMA!, THE LOOK OF LOVE, THOU SHALT NOT, and most recently, the off-Broadway show SESSIONS.

Having spent this past year on a creative journey, Rachelle has been writing and recording original music and videos, and collaborating with her good friend, director Daniel Robinson. SAS is co-produced and co-written by Rak and with long-time friend Martyn Axe, who met while working on STARLIGHT EXPRESS in Bochum, Germany. In 2008, the two were reunited while collaborating on the world premiere of James Walski's TRIP OF LOVE in Osaka, Japan. Brad Musgrove, another long-time friend, is Rachelle's costume designer. Both met in 1999 working together in FOSSE.

"After many years in show business, I've learned that sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands. I am thankful for every opportunity I've been given from Broadway to Bochum," says Rachelle. "The Broadway community is a great place to call home."

SAS is now available on Amazon and iTunes.

Rak will next be appearing in JOSEPH at the North Shore Playhouse and soon after begins rehearsals for CATCH ME IF YOU CAN in January.
