Los Angeles songwriter Rachael Cantu has shared the video for the title-track of her latest EP, Love Rush, directed by Kalie Acheson of ANIMI (Miguel/Alexa Meade's "Color of Reality") - watch + share via YouTube. "Love Rush" will additionally receive a remix treatment from Too Attached, aka siblings Vivek Shraya and Shamik Bilgi, out September 28.
From the infectious voice of Rachael Cantu and bizarre perspective of director Kalie Acheson comes "Love Rush", a stunning ode to anticipation and falling in love. The screen brims with possibility as dancers Allaune Blegbo and Randi Freitas course through a labyrinth of textiles with impossible lightness, using their bodies to translate what it feels like to begin to trust, to begin to love someone new.
Discussing the video, Cantu stated, "Love Rush is about that feeling, that electric moment when you meet, when you truly see someone, when you look at each other and say, 'I know you,' knowing full well you've never met this person in your lifetime. Dancers Allauné Blegbo & Randi Freitas, with Director of Movement, Himerria Wortham took on this task and so beautifully created choreography and freestyle that fit perfectly for this project."
On working with Cantu, Acheson said, "The experience on set was transformative. It was warm, comfortable, supportive, and energized with inspiration and excitement. When I was exhausted from building set I was re-energized by the spirit of our crew. I have never had an experience like that on set and I wish everyone could have it. Rachael's supportive nature encouraged our team to be present and honest to ourselves and Love Rush is the artifact we get to hold now that our creative experiment, this one anyway, is finished."

Love Rush is the first new music from Rachael since 2015's Little Brutes EP, which she co-wrote with Harlan Silverman, featuring the single, "Make Our Own Way", was commissioned as the theme song for the NBC/Ellen Degeneres-produced sitcom, 'One Big Happy' and garnered praise from outlets such as SPIN, Stereogum, Buzzfeed, Autostraddle and Rookie.
A lush, evocative collection of deeply personal songs about love and loss, Love Rush reflects a shift further into pop territory, which, in part, was inspired by her volunteer work with the 'Songs For Kids' foundation, an organization that brings musicians into children's hospitals to sing popular music.
