Ra Ra Riot is thrilled to share their brand-new single "Bad To Worse," available today via Rob the Rich Recordings/Caroline on your preferred streaming service. The song was produced by and co-written with RostamBatmanglij (Vampire Weekend, Maggie Rogers, Frank Ocean, Haim), mixed by multiple Grammy Award-winner Manny Marroquin (Rihanna, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars, Sia, Kanye West), and mastered by Grammy Award-winner EmilyLazar (Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Chainsmokers, Beck).

Batmanglij shared the same credits on the band's massive single "Water" from 2016'sNeed Your Light which has been streamed over 32 million times on Spotify alone. On "Bad To Worse," Ra Ra Riot approach the theme of driving from a wearied perspective, recounting a nine-hour journey from Washington D.C. to the outermost point of Cape Cod. "It's about watching the world from the window of the car or bus, and how there's a familiarity to everything but it's never the same as it once was," says lead singer, Wes Miles. A simply adorned song, it offsets those wistful lyrics with bright beats and warm textures sculpted with the help of Batmanglij's vast collection vintage synths.

In addition, it was recently announced that Ra Ra Riot is set to join Phoenix, Yeah YeahYeahs, MGMT, Beach House and many more for the inaugural Just Like Heaven Festival on May 3rd and 4th in Long Beach, CA (tickets). "Bad To Worse" follows the late 2018 release of "This Time of Year," the band's first new song since 2016. Both songs are set to appear on a forthcoming, yet-to-be-announced LP.
