Symphony Space's Just Kidding continues its weekly boredom-busting performances from the superheroes of all-ages entertainment. The holiday season performances in December continue with the up-tempo, kid-friendly hip hop tunes of Father Goose today, December 20th.
The 2014-15 Just Kidding season is designed to guard NYC families against the diabolical quandary of "What To Do?" each Saturday (and some Sundays). Just Kidding performances offer something for everyone: puppet theatre, hip hop, percussive dance, and sing-alongs with the most boredom-busting family musicians on the planet. Tickets to all Just Kidding performances (including a special family 4-pack deal) are available now at www.symphonyspace.org/justkidding.

Longtime Dan Zanes friend and collaborator Father Goose makes his triumphant return to Just Kidding with his unique, high-energy mix of hip-hop, calypso, and reggae. As a boy growing up in Jamaica, Wayne (his real name) was always stimulated and intrigued by music, whether it was sound flavors of Jamaica and other Caribbean music or other sounds and influences of the rest of the world. At age 5, with trembling tiny fingers encircling a microphone, he performed sing-along to some of his favorite radio recordings. As an adult, Wayne went on to pursue his musical dreams as a DJ and performer known as Rankin Don. In the past few years, he's developed his children's music career under the friendly moniker of Father Goose. His album It's a Bam Bam Diddly! starts in Jamaica and ends in Brooklyn with guest performances from Dan Zanes, Sheryl Crow, Coolie Ranx, Sister Carol and other Caribbean stars. His newest release is Bashment Time. As Dan Zanes says, "There's nothing like the music of Father Goose and the release of Bashment Time is definitely a cause for an outbreak of all-ages dance parties here, there, and everywhere."
