Hailed by Pitchfork, SPIN, Stereogum, MTV, FUSE, PAPER, Jezebel, LA Weekly and more, iconic punk rock feminist, author, educator and musician Alice Bag has just released her inspiring self-titled solo debut album Alice Bag on Don Giovanni Records. She recently spoke with The Los Angeles Times, premiering the brooding "Weigh About You" video and fearlessly sharing how her childhood experience with domestic abuse, working as a teacher for 20 years and finding her confident voice when performing on stage lead to a life of activism. Directed and edited by Marisol Baltierra with illustration, animation and footage collaboration from Amanda LaMarco and Jeff Edwards, watch the "Weigh About You" video HERE. We encourage you to pose & share

As with all of the LA punk luminary's artistic endeavours, this album is unabashedly honest and unafraid. She tackles topics such as date rape, domestic abuse, immigration and the increasing power of corporations. Still an active part of her community, Alice Bag features all original material written by Bag and includes performances by some of her favorite LA-based musicians. She kicks off a stint of west coast dates with an album release party on July 2 at The Echo in Los Angeles.
