Pulled Apart By Horses have revealed a new music video for 'Hotel Motivation', the latest noise-pop anthem to be revealed from their forthcoming album, 'The Haze', due for release March 17th via Caroline International. Following snarling title track 'The Haze', and "instant mosh-pit maker" (NME) 'The Big What If', 'Hotel Motivation' arrives inspired by a mind-scrambling combination of insomnia and Iggy Pop's discography playing back to back at full volume.

"Welcome to the Hotel Motivation", guitarist James Brown explains, "this foot stomper came to life from a shared love of Iggy Pop and an overwhelming lack of sleep when Tom was up night and day penning song lyrics. We hope you enjoy your stay!"

"Ironically these lyrics came out of the frustration of me suffering a little 'writers block'," vocalist / guitarist Tom Hudson adds. "I was sat in a small room in my house, hunched over my computer recording my vocals at about three in the morning. I felt like I couldn't allow myself to sleep until I'd at least made some progress with the track. The song is sort of a fictional version of how I felt and what I was doing that night. A couple of days later we played it in our practice room and everything felt right."

At the beginning of 2016 the members of Pulled Apart By Horses, Tom Hudson, James Brown, bassist Robert Lee and new drummer Tommy Davidson, an old friend recruited from Leeds noise rockers These Monsters, decamped from their lock-up rehearsal facility in their native Leeds to a tiny, remote cottage on a dairy farm in the Welsh countryside for 10 days.

"When we first got to the cottage we thought 'There's nothing to do here!'" says James. "But that was precisely the point. There was no internet, no emails, no-one checking how we were getting on. We were writing for no-one but ourselves. We became like a little family - cooking for one another, building fires, holding late-night karaoke competitions - and completely immersed ourselves in the music."

Recorded by Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys/MIA/Drenge) at his McCall Sound Studio in Sheffield,The Haze is twelve tracks of whip-smart, unpredictable, fierce and sussed hardcore noise-pop. "When we were making our previous album Blood we were referencing a lot of Ross's work, so it made sense to go straight to the source, and it was great to see him investing so much in the process" Rob reveals. "Ross essentially became a fifth member of the band for a month," adds James.

Dissected, one might hear elements of The Jesus Lizard, Devo, Hot Snakes, The Stooges, Krautrock, Surf-Pop, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Captain Beefheart, QOTSA, Fugazi and T-Rex amidst its dozen tracks, but fused by electric studio performances, it's a compelling snapshot of a rewired, recalibrated and rejuvenated rock band at the peak of their powers.

"Our musical tastes change monthly, never mind over the course of five years, so we are never going to be the kind of band who'd do the same album every time," adds Hudson. "We've always been that band that are 'too heavy for the indie kids, and too indie for the heavy kids' in industry terms, but it's quite cool that people don't really know where to put is, because it means no-one can easily slap a genre name upon us. Now we have the freedom to just be who we are."
