After dominating the West Coast music scene and selling out headlining shows in LA, Private Island is has been in heavy rotation on their first US Tour with Future Generations. Coast-to-coast this musical mix has brought their funky California indie pop-rock to venues all over. After making a splash on the internet with their Hype Machine approved hit "Drugs," and over 3 million streams on Spotify, Private Island is excited to promote their third studio project, Night Drive, which will mark a slight departure from their indie-rock past to a smoother R&B vibe.

The autotuned entrance to "Juvenile" isn't a metaphor to the track title. In fact - this song envelopes a wide variety of entrances, exits and experimental vocals. Deep house drums, anticipation from synth-overlays and breath sustained breakdowns create an anthem that fans of French electro-pop enthusiast M83 will resonate with. Christian Lum, lead singer, can be celebrated for his free-form flow of vocal techniques in this track. On brand with the demand for lofi-dream-pop dance music, Private Island is creating escape routes of sound in this present day setting of complicated culture.

The Southern California six-piece band, comprised of Christian Lum, Tommy Nickerson, Cameron Anderson, Michelle Guerrero, Tim Barbour and Roger Mawer, worked with producer Jacob Munk and mastering engineer Joe Lambert for Night Drive. Their new album is out fall 2017 and can be enjoyed with your feet up perhaps on your own private island.

"Juvenile" is available on all digital platforms on Aug 4th.

TOUR DATES
Aug 4th @ Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia, PA
Aug 5th @ Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY
