Position Music Signs Publishing Deal With Grammy Winning Artist Fantastic Negrito

Tyler Bacon, President & CEO of Position Music today announced that the Los Angeles based company have signed a publishing deal with Grammy award-winning artist Fantastic Negrito. Through this deal, Position Music will work closely with Fantastic Negrito and his partners at Blackball Universe and Cooking Vinyl to maximize opportunities for his incredible catalog, as well as strategically partner on the release of new music.

Fantastic Negrito's sound spans from blues and R&B to rock. Each song is a real story about a musician from Oakland who experienced the highs of a million dollar record deal, the lows of a near fatal car accident that left him in a coma, and is now in the midst of a rebirth that took him from the streets of Oakland to the Grammy stage.

June 15, 2018 marked the release of Fantastic Negrito's critically-acclaimed new album Please Don't Be Dead, the follow up to his 2017 Grammy winning offering, The Last Days Of Oakland. Earning kudos from the New York Times, NPR and Associated Press (among many others), Fantastic Negrito has shared his music worldwide, touring with Chris Cornell, Temple of the Dog and Sturgill Simpson. He will embark on a European tour in November, 2018.
