Up and coming pop artist Rebecca Moreland released her new single, "Breaking Free," to Top 40/AC radio April 29. "Breaking Free" is the second independent release from Rebecca and is now available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and other online stores worldwide as of yesterday, May 22.
Rebecca Moreland's soulful acoustic vibe has gained the attention of listeners around the country with her last single, "Far From Heaven," charting in FMQB's AC charts at the end of 2012.
"The song is very personal," Rebecca says. "I was reaching a crossroads where I had to choose between fully pursuing music and keeping my full time advertising job. I chose music. I wrote the majority of the song the day after I quit my job."
Rebecca co-wrote "Breaking Free" with Scott Whitley. She co-produced the song with producer and engineer Leland Elliott at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN.
Rebecca is originally from San Antonio, Texas. She now is based out of Nashville and is currently working on a new album scheduled to release later this year.
She has been interviewed by Fox Morning News San Antonio, ABC Nes Memphis, and Nashville's WKDF FM, among others. Rebecca received a Breedlove guitar endorsement in January 2013. Recently, she was chosen as a featured artist of the week by MusicXray and Muzikreviews.com.
The artist has played shows and festivals across the country, including: Nissan's Taste of Music City, Ashland City Festival, San Antonio Ford Holiday River Parade, and the Florida Music Festival.
