MTV announced today that P!nk is this year's recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2017 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS. Past Video Vanguard recipients include Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, Guns N' Roses, Beastie Boys, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Kanye West and Rihanna. The 2017 Video Music Awards, hosted by Katy Perry, will air live on Sunday, August 27.
In a statement, MTV shared "Known for her boundary-breaking and rebellious nature, P!nk's legacy spawns a 17-year long career as a powerhouse vocalist and performer.
