Today, Atlantic recording artist Plested has officially released his first body of work. The 8-track project, First & Foremost, which features fan favorites "Worthy Of You" and "Habits."

"First & Foremost represents the beginning of Plested as an artist," said the rising songsmith. "A deep sea dive into my heart as a songwriter trying to figure out love, a career and the balance between them. I chose the songs that meant as much to other people as they do to me; they're honest, raw and rough around the edges - which is exactly how I like to see myself as an artist.

First & Foremost includes the stellar new single, "Your Name," written in New York with good friend and collaborator Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes, X-Ambassadors). "Your Name" is joined by a lyric video available to stream at Plested's official YouTube channel HERE. In addition to "Worthy Of You," "Habits," and "Your Name," the debut collection includes the previously released and emotionally charged songs, "First Time," "Back Up Plan," "Ribcage," and "Easier Said Than Done" as well another new release, the beautiful "Home By Now (Acoustic)".

Leading up to the release of First & Foremost, Plested has also treated listeners to a very special "A Song A Week" project in which he shares demos of unreleased songs as well as personalized drawings on YouTube every week for an entire year. Check out all of the releases thus far and keep an eye out for more on YouTube HERE.

Earlier this year, "Ribcage" was greeted with widespread acclaim upon its arrival with BlackBook hailing it as "a visceral, spine-tingling ballad about loving too hard and the attendant consequences." In addition, the track's stunning companion video - streaming HERE - premiered via Ones To Watch, which declared Plested "an indisputable songwriting genius," commending "Ribcage" as a "master class in weaving together a spellbinding narrative." Directed by Daniel Alexander Harris, the video serves as the emotional second half of a story Plested first began to tell in the official video for yet another project highlight, "Backup Plan," streaming now HERE.

Plested - born Phil Plested - has made a name for himself by penning songs for some of UK pop music's biggest names, including Zayn Malik, The Vamps, Kygo Feat. Miguel, Emeli Sandé, Naughty Boy, Calum Scott, and Little Mix, for whom he co-wrote the UK Top 5, 2x platinum single, "Touch." But now Plested has his own story to tell. The gifted tunesmith has crafted a distinctive pop approach all his own, combining top tier songcraft with an irrepressible knack for melody and highly personal insight.
