Pistol Pete's Muddy Waters Tribute Set for Untitled Tonight

Aside from being global music legends, what do the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, and AC/DC have in common? Muddy Waters- the Chicago blues king who was arguably the single biggest influence on all of these artists. Tonight, April 9, Untitled Supper Club will celebrate Muddy Waters' birthday with local Chicago bluesman Pistol Pete covering some of his best known tunes.

Throughout the evening, guests can sip on a featured Old Fashioned cocktails made with Old Forester Private Barrel, Simple Syrup, Reagan's Orange Bitters and Angostura ($10) as the restaurant honors one of the most important Chicago musicians of all time.

About Muddy Waters: Born in the Delta region of Mississippi with the birth name McKinley Morganfield, Muddy Waters' harsh, impoverished life led him to find expression in the blues, which he later became a pioneer of in the 1940s Chicago music scene.

About Pistol Pete: Pistol Pete is well-known in Chicago and abroad as one of the hottest shredders around. He won the Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Competition, Midwest Division and counts Muddy Waters as one of his biggest influences.

About Tribute Nights: Now in its fourth edition, Tribute Nights is a new music driven event series presented by Untitled Supper Club. Each month, Untitled will celebrate the birthday of a legendary American musician with the help of a local music group that will perform covers of their greatest hits. The inaugural tribute night has honored Sam Cooke, Johnny Cash, and last month the evening paid tribute to Aretha Franklin.
