"I Saved A Bird Today," a brand new song from Grammy Award-winning musician Peter Frampton, is premiering at Guitar World. Listen/share the song here: https://youtu.be/e-HHMq9zuSE. The song is a true story of Frampton helping a bird that crashed into his window. Of the song, Frampton explains, "'To care for one another is the reason we are here'-this lyric sums up the song for me. We are all in uncharted territory right now. 'Perhaps today, [the bird] was on her way to rescue me,' which doesn't seem too far off from what we all need. Politeness and caring for each other cannot be a thing of the past. I can't explain how great the feeling was to have saved a life. Peace, love and truth trump hate every time."
In addition, Peter Frampton Raw: An Acoustic Tour will re-launch this month. Gordon Kennedy, Frampton's longtime collaborator and co-producer of his Grammy Award-winning album Fingerprints, will join again for dates alongside Frampton's son, singer and guitarist Julian Frampton. Frampton will also tour this summer with American rockers The Steve Miller Band. See below for full routing details or visit www.frampton.com.
Frampton's latest album, Acoustic Classics, continues to receive widespread critical acclaim from The New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Billboard and more. Guitar Player raves, "Frampton's playing flows fluently throughout and the variety of exquisite tones keeps the journey interesting." Frampton also performed on "Conan," appeared on SiriusXM's "The Howard Stern Show" and "Artist Confidential," and was featured on NPR's "World Cafe" and "Tiny Desk Concert."
On Acoustic Classics, Frampton brings us stripped-down versions of his hits including "Baby, I Love Your Way," "Lines On My Face," "Do You Feel Like I Do," "Show Me The Way" and more. Acoustic Classics includes one new song, "All Down to Me," which was co-written by Gordon Kennedy. "All Down to Me" is the only track on the record featuring a guest musician.
Peter Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. At 16, he was lead singer and guitarist for British band the Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first supergroups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, John Entwistle and many others. His fifth solo album, the electrifying Frampton Comes Alive!, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary and remains one of the top-selling live records of all time.
