Peter Bjorn and John Release 'Writer's Block' Vinyl Re-Issue

Swedish indie-rock trio Peter Bjorn and John are excited to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of Writer's Block with the vinyl re-issue of the band's seminal album - out today! To celebrate the vinyl release of this classic album, the band created an exclusive montage video for their hit-single "Young Folks," which is a compilation of live footage and television performances collected over the past decade, featuring appearances by Kanye West, Marilyn Manson, Robyn, Lykke Li and others.

Writer's Block - the band's third studio album and U.S. debut - is widely considered one of the defining indie-rock albums of the 2000's, delivering singles such as "Young Folks," "Objects of My Affection," and "Let's Call It Off" - which pushed the band onto Rolling Stone's and Pitchfork's Top 50 Albums of The Year lists. Pitchfork also gave the album the much sought-after title of "Best New Music" in its review, calling it "an album that adds an imperial hugeness to the teen noir and garage-y psychedelia of their past efforts - and one of the better pop records we've heard this year," while SPIN declared "Swedes do everything with stickier melodies."

Following the album's release, "Young Folks" dominated the radio, charting on the Top 100 in over 9 countries and cementing Peter Bjorn and John as a household name. The band went on to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, drawing admiration from peers like Drake, who sampled "Let's Call It Off" on his 2009 mixtape, and Kanye West, who remixed "Young Folks" for his Can't Tell Me Nothing mixtape and performed with the band at 2007's Way Out West Festival.
