New York City blues/rock band People vs Larsen is pleased to announce the release of their powerful new album, Loving Losing on OneTrickDog* Records on January 12, 2016. The title track marks a departure from the more traditional blues of the band's eponymous first album, but continues to explore the boundaries of Delta-inspired blues. The track is a heartfelt ballad that displays the melodic, often seductive guitar riffs and haunting vocals of frontman/composer Tom Larsen. It was debuted on KCRW FM, Los Angeles by long-tenured DJ Chris Douridas, and has been played daily since May. Douridas described the single as a "deeply soulful show-stopper. Went into heavy rotation immediately."

The band's second album features the addition of renowned Crosby, Stills & Nash organist Todd Caldwell and showcases the incredible breadth of Larsen's compositional and arranging prowess. From the massive, layered arrangement of Feist's There's a Limit to Your Love, to the gritty, hard-charging blues/rock groove of One More Time; from the funk-infused brass sounds of Big Leg Woman, to the poignant, lush colors and counterlines of When I Call You, or the haunting, virtuosic intimacy of acoustic tracks such as Josephine, Loving Losing is truly a complete record from start to finish.

People vs Larsen has represented an innovative voice in the indie/blues music scenes in New York for over three years. The group, including Tom Larsen on guitar and vocals, Dylan Shamat on bass and Dave Tedeschi on drums released their debut album in fall of 2012. Recently, the group joined record label OneTrickDog* Records, and teamed up for the second time with producer/engineer Dev Avidon, who worked closely with the group to arrange many of the tracks, as well as to engineer and produce the album.

People vs Larsen has established itself as one of the "best live bands in New York City." The band has played venues across New York, and continues a three year residency at the McKittrick Hotel. In addition, the band plays every Friday and Saturday for Sleep No More.
