Australian duo Adam & Reuben, aka Peking Duk, are back with the official video for their slick new downtempo single 'Sugar'.
The track has already amassed close to 3 million Spotify streams since release thanks to Peking Duk's trademark rhythmic melodies, and the vocal talents of Jack River. The video - directed by Perth-based creative director Matt Sav - shows all three enjoying a series of laid-back adventures in the sun in scenes reminiscent of Len's 2009 hit 'Steal My Sunshine'.
"Our wish for the Sugar video was to live out our own dreams of being in a Len or Nelly Furtado clip,"explained Peking Duk and Jack River. "Sunshine, lollipops, rollercoasters, cocktails on the beach and skater girls. It made for the best video set we've ever been on - we couldn't stop the lolz! A huge shoutout to Matt Sav for nailing it.'"
Led by the rich vocals of Jack River - who scored widespread acclaim with her 2018 album 'Sugar Mountain' - 'Sugar' follows Peking Duk's recent success with single 'Fire'. The lead single from the 'Reprisal' EP last year, 'Fire' is rapidly closing in on 30 million Spotify streams, cementing a place as the pair's most streamed track to date.
