Bake It Black Records in Munich has released the new recording from Paul Dougherty, Beeswax. We prefer to describe Beeswax without adjectives. What does it sound like? Sort of like the Pixies, the Replacements, you get the message. Give it a spin, including the album opener and single "Honeycomb".

Paul Dougherty lives in Munich but comes from Nashville where he played in a couple of popular regional bands in a sense and Chilhowie, both indie rock, as well as the Americana band The Uninsurables.
Since moving to Munich, Paul has recorded for Bake It Black Records and released Grace Under Water which received some great reviews and spent a couple of months in the Top 10 Roots Music Report Folk Charts for Internet radio play. I'm only in It for the Money was released in 2010 and the retrospective Evensong was released in 2012.
Paul's father Tommy Dougherty was a singer as well and in addition a B3 Hammond player. He released a few recordings including the funk and blues recordings Tommy Dougherty on Guiness Records, Touch My Soul on Emerald Gem, Karate K K on Dance City USA and Cold Cold World under the name Tommy Jackson on Tear Drop Records.
