Paul Anka to Play Providence's The VETS, 11/12

The VETS will present an evening with the legendary Paul Anka on Wednesday, November 12th, at 7:30pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 4 at 10A and are $45, $65, and $75. Box Office Hours are Monday - Friday from 10A-5P; Saturday 10A-2P. The VETS is located at One Avenue of the Arts, Providence. The VETS Box Office is only open on show days.

Singer, songwriter, and actor, Paul Anka became famous in the late 1950s, 60s, and 70s with hit songs like "Diana," "Lonely Boy," and "Put Your Head on My Shoulder." In addition to his illustrious singing career, Anka wrote the Academy Award nominated theme to the movie The Longest Day (in which he also starred) and the memorable theme to The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. He wrote music for Buddy Holiday and Connie Frances, as well as Tom Jones' "She's a Lady," the English lyrics for Frank Sinatra's signature song "My Way," and Michael Jackson's posthumous hit "This Is It." Recently Anka released a New York Times Bestselling autobiography My Way and a new album entitled Duets, featuring Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Tom Jones, Celine Dion, and Michael Bublé. Paul Anka is the only artist in history to have a record on Billboard's Top 50 chart for seven consecutive decades, and has cemented his place as one of the most prolific and versatile singer/songwriters of any generation.

The Veterans Memorial Auditorium (The VETS) is a 1,900-seat theatre located in downtown Providence. The VETS is part of the Rhode Island Convention and Entertainment Complex, and is managed by Professional Facilities Management (PFM). The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. The VETS is currently undergoing extensive renovations to make it a state of the art performance facility.
