Party Pupils joins Audien to bring the old school back on a funkified dance floor-ready reboot of '90s hip-hop classic, "This is How We Do It," premiered today via www.thissongissick.com. The collaboration arrives as Party Pupils gets ready to join select dates on Grandtheft's Square One Tour, as well as Steve Aoki's Kolony US Tour this Spring.
New York based duo
Party Pupils is made up of singer MAX and producer RyanEXOE. Following the success of their OutKast reboot, "Ms. Jackson,"
Party Pupils has continued to release cutting edge reinterpretations, remixes, and original productions. Streamed over 9.3 million times on Spotify, "Ms. Jackson" established
Party Pupils as one to watch in the next generation of future funk. Since then they have done official remixes for Lorde, Bebe Rexha, and Jai Wolf, among others. Most recently, they've been commissioned to create reworks of Chomeo's "Juice" and Cheat Codes' "Feels Great," featuring
Fetty Wap and CVBZ. While making a name for themselves off innovative remixes and covers, fans can expect more original
Party Pupils material to surface on Dim Mak in the near future.
Joining
Party Pupils on "This Is How We Do It," is GRAMMY-nominated producer Audien, who previously worked with MAX on "One More Weekend," which has over 12 million streams on Spotify. Audien is known for his signature brand of euphoric progressive house and anthemic dance-pop. His big productions have rocked festival stages around the world, as he's performed on stages including Tomorrowland, EDC Vegas, Ultra, and Lollapalooza. In 2015, Audien received a Grammy nomination for Best Remixed Recording, Non-classical for his remix of Pompeii's hit song, "Bastille." That same year his hit single "Something Better" ft.
Lady Antebellum peaked as #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs and placed as #29 on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40. With official remixes for Michael Jackson and Halsey, and an official collaboration with Nile Rodgers, Audien is constantly pushing the boundaries of electronic music by incorporating different genres. Catch him at Ultra Music Festival in March and on select dates this spring.
