Southern soul-pop artist and LGBTQ advocate Parson James has dropped another infectious pop gem via RCA Records titled "Sad Song." Written by Parson James and produced by Elof Loelv (Rihanna, Icona Pop, Zara Larsson), "Sad Song is a record for anyone and everyone who has been in the tricky position of sacrificing their own happiness for someone else's." Explains the 24-year-old songwriter and performer. He continues. "There is true power in realizing your worth and owning it. And even more power in accepting the fact that sometimes, that person you think you are in love with, is just simply not good enough for you."

The artwork was created by London based illustrator, fashion photographer and filmmaker Edd Leigh, whom Parson James has been a long time admirer of.

Billboard Magazine premiered the song describing it as an " upbeat, anti-heartache anthem." Read the full article and exclusive interview with Parson James here.

"Sad Song" is available now on all digital platforms.

Earlier this year, Parson James released his debut THE TEMPLE EP, which entered the Top 10 of the official iTunes pop charts this summer. He was touted as an Artist to Watch by Spotify, based on their listeners streaming habits and the official Viral Charts. The South Carolina born, New York City based artist made his late night television debut earlier this year, performing his last single "Temple" with the LGBT Lavender Light Choir on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers
