Boston's Palehound, lead by fierce vocalist and prolific creative force Ellen Kempner, will release the sophomore album, A Place I'll Always Go, June 16 on Polyvinyl Record Co. The collection is a frank look at love and loss, cushioned by indelible hooks and gently propulsive, fuzzed-out rock. Following a spring tour with Big Thief and a handful of summer headlining dates which include a record release show in Boston, Palehound will kick off a national tour with Waxahatchee in August. Palehound's latest music video for album track "If You Met Her" was created in collaboration with a team of high school students from Real to Reel Filmschool, part of the Boston arts non-profit Raw Art Works (RAW). "I wrote this song on the one year anniversary of my close friends passing. It addresses the experience of grief I had following losing her, including feelings of guilt and being reminded of her everywhere I would go." shares Ellen. "I wrote it like a letter, reminiscing over times we'd spent together and telling her about how I'd fallen in love. The teens at Raw Art Works put a visual to my song that I feel perfectly reflects the content and I was absolutely astounded at how professional and amazing they were to work with."

The "If You Met Her" video debuted alongside an in-depth interview withRookie today and is available to post/share HERE.

A Place I'll Always Go channels feelings of anxiety - heart-racing moments both exhilarating and crushing - into songs that feel well-worn and comforting. The album was recorded at Brooklyn's Thump Studios with the assistance of Gabe Wax, who also recorded Dry Food. A Place I'll Always Go builds on the promise of Palehound's critically acclaimed 2015 album Dry Food with songs that breathe Kempner's evolved maturity, while asserting her core artistic fire.
