No. 19 Social Experiment is launching a new DJ residency today, March 21 at the much-respected Output nightclub. The inaugural Brooklyn edition of the No. 19 Social Experiment features Art Department, the critically acclaimed brainchild of Kenny Glasgow and No. 19 label owner Jonny White, with UK's Eric Volta who just released his stunning 'Blood Burgundy' EP on No. 19, and Brooklyn's own Cameo Culture. In the Panther Room is soulful house music legend Osunlade and No. 19 label co-owner Nitin. The forthcoming No. 19 Social Experiment dates will include a rotating cast of special guests to help celebrate the label's five year anniversary.
Now one of the most influential electronic music labels on the planet, one that holds sell out showcases around the world and breaks new artists on a regular basis, the label is also releasing a '5 Years of No.19 Music' compilation on March 31. In the last half decade, No.19 Music has carved out its own electronic niche, releasing fresh and artistic house and techno with a very unique personality and a huge impact on the dancefloor. Compiled and selected by Art Department's Jonny White himself, the compilation takes in label associates old and new and showcases all that is great about this taste making outlet across the course of 12 new and exclusive tracks, including the brand new Art Department & BLUD track "Who Is Jake Holmes" along with a remix from Eric Volta and tracks from Louie Fresco, Nitin, Maher Daniel, Lauren Lane and many more. '5 Years of No. 19' is a statement of what No. 19 Music is all about: forward-looking electronic music that bows its head to nothing, instead carving its own unique path through the underground.
