Orpheum Theatre Presents Trace Adkins Tonight, 5/12

Tonight, May 12 at 8:00 PM, The Orpheum Theatre presents An Evening with Trace Adkins, the Grammy award winning, multi-platinum country music singer and songwriter. Tickets are available at The Orpheum Box Office (901-525-3000), the ticket counter at The Booksellers at Laurelwood and at all Ticketmaster centers (901-743-ARTS).

Trace Adkins is just one of the many celebrated musical artists in The Orpheum’s concert lineup this year. “We want to expand our concert base to include as many different types of music as possible,” says Orpheum President Pat Halloran. “In addition to Trace Adkins, we have scheduled Yanni, the Original Tribute to the Blues Brothers, Celtic Woman, and more.”

About the artist: "Trace Adkins is one of country music’s most versatile and accomplished entertainers. His instantly recognizable baritone has earned 30 charted singles and 15 Top Ten hits gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums with total sales surpassing 10 million. A member of the Grand Ole Opry, Adkins was raised on Country and Gospel and is known as a traditionalist who speaks his mind and honors the past. The 6’6″ star is a father of five daughters and a family man to the core. He is the author of A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Freethinking Roughneck. Trace Adkins’ tenth studio album, PROUD TO BE HERE, features the Top Ten hit, “Just Fishin’” and latest single, “Million Dollar View.” The album was released on August 2, 2011 on Show Dog – Universal Music and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Country Album Chart. Recorded in the spring of 2011 and dubbed PROUD TO BE HERE last May, the album was produced by Kenny Beard and Mark Wright. The album contains 10 tracks with an additional 4 tracks appearing on the Deluxe Edition.
