NorCal native singer and songwriter Olivia O'Brien, familiar to hundreds of millions worldwide via her RIAA triple-platinum self-composed smash collaboration with gnash, "i hate u i love u," releases IT'S NOT THAT DEEP on Island Records today, her eagerly anticipated debut EP containing the current "No Love" single.

"after spending so much time with these songs I'm really excited to share that my EP," Olivia says. "It's Not That Deep, is finally here! these songs are based on what I've felt, experienced, and observed from the time i've spent in the past year in LA. i hope that my music can inspire people to be real and honest, which are the most important values for both my music and life. i want the focus of my career to be on the music and what i have to say... which gets lost sometimes in social media. i hope u can listen to these songs knowing that the words came from me and that i tried to put as many aspects of my life into this project. and most importantly, just don't take the trivial aspects of life so seriously bc IT'S NOT THAT DEEP!"

In addition to "No Love", "Empty", and "RIP", the 5-song EP IT'S NOT THAT DEEP contains two brand new tracks, "Tequilawine" and "f Feelings."

Olivia is in the final weeks of her first major U.S. tour, opening for L.A.-based Island Records duo Jack & Jack. The 7-week tour, which opened October 23rd in Fort Lauderdale, will wrap up December 10th with a homecoming gig in Los Angeles at the Fonda Theatre. The next night, December 11th, Olivia will be performing at a North Bay Fire Relief Benefit Concert at Old Redwood Barn @ Gunlach Bundschu Winery, "to bring hope to the people of this region and inspiration to others to continue participating in relief efforts." 100% of the proceeds from tickets, fees and wine sales will go to both Napa Valley Community Foundation and Sonoma County Resilience Fund. About OLIVIA O'BRIEN: Raised in Napa Valley, Olivia O'Brien has been singing and writing songs since she was seven years old, and taught herself to play both guitar and piano. She began posting her originals on SoundCloud for fun, not thinking anything would come of it, until gnash reached out on Twitter in 2015, after hearing her cover one of his songs. When he asked her if she had any original material, Olivia sent him a voice-note of the beginnings of "i hate u i love u," (first titled "hate u love u") which she wrote in her bedroom when she was 15. He invited her down to L.A. to record. "i hate u i love u" has been a global phenom since 2015. It became a Top 5 hit in the U.S. where it is certified RIAA triple-platinum, #1 in Australia (double-platinum), Top 10 UK (platinum), and Top 5 on iTunes in more than 50 markets.

Olivia's original "hate u love u" was released on Island in 2016, and she was named "one of 2016' s break-out pop stars" by Idolator, a "pop star in the making" (Nylon), who "just may be starting the next generation of cathartic Taylor Swift-esque anthems wrapped in the sweet vocals of Lorde and maturity of Lana" (V magazine). In addition to "i hate u i love u," Olivia's prolific string of singles include "Root Beer Float" (featuring blackbear); her original version of "hate u love u"; "Empty" (over 17 million streams); and "RIP" (over 8.6 million streams). Olivia continues to write and record new songs with the goal of "creating music that people can identify with and enjoy. I'm looking forward to releasing more music and showing who I am as an artist and songwriter."
