Now, Now Share New Single ENDA, Plus North American Tour Begins 4/18 Image

Now, Now is excited to share their new single "Enda". The song is the first new music from the Minneapolis duo since the May 2018 release of their critically acclaimed album SAVED. The song title, as the band's KC Dalager explains in further detail below, means "heart/center" in Elvish, and "is about hating the things we do to ourselves that are in our control but feel out of our control." Debuted today on High Snobriety, they describe the track as "a soundbite of pure dark magic." On April 18th Now, Now kick off a spring co-headline tour of North America with their friends Foxing. Upcoming tour dates listed below in full.

"Enda means heart/center in elvish," explains Now, Now's KC Dalager. "The core of something. This song is about hating the things we do to ourselves that are in our control but feel out of our control. Knowing yourself enough to know you're going to do whatever it is that you are trying to avoid doing. This isn't about habits or addiction, but more self destructive tendencies in general. I do not want to glamorize the idea of hating yourself, I don't think that's a cool thing to do, but this song is definitely injected with self loathing and a little bit of arrogance. Feeling defeated by your own self and not knowing how to stop it. This song makes me feel like I'm at the bottom of a well. But I'm just silently sitting there and have made peace with the fact that I'm not getting out. I do not think that is a healthy place to always be, but I think it's okay to allow yourself to feel that sometimes in order to get better. I struggle with depression and my sense of self worth as a person outside of making music. So this song is an embodiment of those feelings for me."

Now, Now has had no shortage of critical acclaim for their latest album SAVED (Trans Records), winning inclusions on multiple Best of 2018 album and single lists at publications including FADER, GQ, NPR Music, Billboard, Idolator, and many others. Aside from their new single "Enda", the band are also featured on Jai Wolf's "Around The World", a song from his debut album The Cure To Loneliness, released last week.

Praise for SAVED

"Saved is at its most impactful as an album you listen to in your bedroom, recalling those summer nights when you used to drive around with the windows down." - GQ Best Albums of 2018

"The Minnesota duo Now, Now are adept at finding sweet spots between nervy emo and shimmering, Carly Rae Jepsen-like pop" - Pitchfork

"The record is seductive, subtle, and confident, almost flirtatiously so. Listening to 'Saved,' I found myself thinking about Carly Rae Jepsen, another left-of-center artist who uses pop structure to drive straight to some sweet, opaque, mystic place. It's already become one of my most-listened-to albums of the year." - New Yorker
