Hailing from the 500-person mountain valley village of Ulnes, Norwegian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Farao, aka Kari Jahnsen, seamlessly blends transitive indie rock with starry electronics, creating intricate, enchanting music that reflects the dramatic yet serene environments of her origin. Today she reveals "Hunter," the first single to follow her critically acclaimed debut self-titled EP.

Farao's music ravels and unravels between tension and ease, played entirely by the multi-instrumentalist with dexterity, and her unimpeded imagination. On "Hunter," her voice pierces through with cathartic poise as synthesizers lift the song's mournful harmonium over a bed of rolling drums and funereal brass. Her powerful siren call warns, "If I have to I will haunt you like a phantom in the night ... I can't deny, I'll track you down and shoot you like a hunter."

The now-London-based artist took to Iceland to begin recording her first full album with producer Mike Lindsay (of Tunng), which was then later mixed by Grammy-Award winner Andrew Scheps (Hozier, Lana Del Rey, Cass McCombs). The collaborative community and perpetual light of an Icelandic spring, enabled Farao to make bold artistic decisions without reservation. With the release of "Hunter", the promise of Farao's wonderful, debut full-length colors the horizon and will be issued by Arts & Crafts/Full Time Hobby later this year.
