After the release of the cinematic visuals for "Laugh in the Face of Darkness," Norway's tracksuit-sporting synth rockers present another sample from the upcoming album -- "Feathers & Wax" sees the band picking and choosing influences from across the board: Plato's myth of Icarus, Fugazi's classic hardcore riffs, DEVO's guitars, Paul Simon's "Graceland" bass and vocal harmonies, as well as current indie and contemporary urban sounds, sealed with the signature Datarock upbeat tempo and playful electronics.
The single artwork, along with the album cover and video aesthetics, was created by DOLK, a well-known visual artist from Datarock's hometown of Bergen, Norway. The two teamed up in order to elevate the polished visuals to a true fine art level; the scratched "Low Key" Lamborghini featured in the "Laugh" video was shot at the ARoS Museum in Denmark.
