Northglenn Arts will launch a new concert series featuring all a cappella bands. The inaugural series will kick off today, January 16 with a Denver favorite, Cool Shooz. Based in Thornton, this group has been blending their vocal styling for decades. They have recently revamped their sound and are ready to debut the line-up to launch our series.
The concert series is sponsored by the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation, SCFD, City of Northglenn and Colorado Creative Industries. Scheduled to perform are: Cool Shooz, January 16; Motive, February 20; Dakaboom, March 20; Mile High Vocal Jam Winners, April 17; and FACE, May 15.
Cultural Coordinator Kimberly Jongejan, who programs the long-running summer concert series said, "The mass appeal of a cappella makes it a perfect night out for all music enthusiasts of any age. Whether it's date night or a family night out, we're hoping our audiences will grab an early dinner at one of the new restaurants at the Webster Lake Promenade and then head over to the theatre for some amazing music. Colorado has a really vibrant music scene and we're so privileged to have an opportunity to host them here in Northglenn."
Single performance tickets are priced at $10 for adults, $8 for youth and seniors. Series tickets are priced at $40 for adults, $35 for youth and seniors.
Concerts will be held every third Friday in the spring. All shows start at 7:30 pm and are held at the D.L. Parsons Theatre, 11801 Community Center Drive. For tickets, call 303.450.8800.
