Pop songstress Niki Kennedy left her home in New Zealand at 16 to move to Toronto, Canada and become part of the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts. The gifted songwriter has just dropped her latest EP "The Weather Up Here this Fall."
The album features her recent single Cheque, Please - a pop ballad with sultry jazz undertones. The single was accompanied by a video that takes place in a 1920s speakeasy and visualizes the track perfectly.
One of our favorites off "The Weather Up Here" has to be I'm Your Girl. The track opens up with soft piano keys, soon accompanied by a beautiful, soft falsetto from Kennedy. The song is love ballad about a lost lover, reminiscing and hoping they cherish the memories the same way she does. It's a definite tear-jerker. It also speaks to Kennedy's talent as a songwriter.
We are so excited for Niki to release this wonderful EP into the world and can't wait for what else she has in store!
