Nicole Scherzinger Talks Brand New Single “Run” on Maria Menounos' Online Broadcast Network, AfterBuzz TV

AfterBuzz TV, an online broadcast network created by E!'s Maria Menounos, spotlights pop superstar and star of the West End revival of CATS, Nicole Scherzinger as she sits down with hosts Whitney Lane and Jason Ikeler to discuss her brand new single, "Run," and her US debut solo album "Big Fat Lie."

The former Pussycat Dolls lead vocalist speaks to the vulnerability and courage it takes creating such a personal and heartfelt album. "It's a little scary because it's revealing, y'know you're kind of letting people have a microscopic look into all the like little fragments of your heart...but it's also cathartic." Scherzinger isn't at all worried about sharing her personal stories through her music. The former X-Factor judge says, "What worries me is when you have stuff that you don't love and you put out...It feels good to be able to be yourself...the place that I am in my life as a woman I'm being courageous enough to open up about a lot of stuff I never talked about with relationships, relationships with myself, with problems that I've had. At the end of the day when you break it down, you're not alone."

The album, Big Fat Lie, is scheduled for a spring 2015 release and Scherzinger has some fun sharing "lies" she once told growing up in Kentucky. "My Mom used to make me peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day for lunch and I didn't like them...that's so weird I remember this..." She laughs and explains how she used to throw them away at her babysitter's house: "One week they found a pile of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the trash can."

She also speaks to the excitement she has for starring as Grizabella in Andrew Lloyd Webbers' Cats in London this December: "He (Andrew Lloyd Webber) asked me to revive cats and who could say no to him...it's a once in a lifetime opportunity...it's an honor." Scherzinger grew up in musical theatre and still gets excited at the thought of working with Webber, "It's so weird being such a musical theatre geek and loving that name growing up and now he's like family."
