Nick Murphy Releases New Song 'Medication' + Fall Headline Tour Continues

Nick Murphy just released new track "Medication" as he kicks off the second leg of his fall North American tour. Of the song, Murphy notes: ""It's a song about ignorance and flawed logic. I wanted to see what it was like writing about ego-fuelled confidence." Murphy also sat down with Noisey to discuss the new song, tour and his evolution from Chet Faker to Nick Murphy. The New York-based Australian producer & musician's new live show has been winning fans over across the country. Consequence of Sound recently noted, "Murphy spared nothing when it came to visuals and sound. His upcoming dates kicked off with two sold out nights in Vancouver starting last night, and includes a headline show at The Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles onOctober 19. Murphy released his Missing Link EP in May, his first release since announcing that he'll record and perform under his given name and step away from his Chet Faker moniker. The collection bridges the sonic shift between who he was as an artist and what's next for him as Nick Murphy. As Chet Faker, Murphy's album Built on Glassreceived wide critical acclaim and the single "Gold" has received almost 100 million views to-date.
