Nick Jonas & Demi Lovato to Headline Time Warner Cable and Lifebeat 2015 MTV VMAs Concert

Time Warner Cable and MTV today announced that 2015 "MTV Video Music Awards" pre-show headliner and "MTV Best Male Video" nominee, NICK JONAS, along with chart-topping singer-songwriter, DEMI LOVATO, will headline the 2015 "MTV Video Music Awards" concert to benefit Lifebeat - Music Fights HIV/AIDS, a national nonprofit focused on educating America's youth about HIV/AIDS prevention. The special concert will take place in Los Angeles on Friday, August 28th as a lead-up to the 2015 "MTV Video Music Awards" that will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 30th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Time Warner Cable will be holding a ticket giveaway exclusively for its residential customers in the Southern California region on Monday, August 24th beginning at 9:00 a.m. Customers with accounts in good standing can pick up two tickets at the Time Warner Cable store located in the Beverly Connection Mall in Los Angeles on August 24th between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Two tickets per account holder; a valid ID must be presented to claim the tickets.

Island Records Artist, Nick Jonas will turn up the VMA pre-show party with the first-ever televised performance of his brand-new song, "Levels," on Sunday, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Jonas recently introduced himself as a fully formed solo artist on his hit self-titled debut, released in November 2014. The critically acclaimed album includes double-platinum smash single and #1 U.S. radio hit, "Jealous" and his sultry second chart-climbing U.S. radio single, "Chains." This fall, Jonas will embark on the NICK JONAS "LIVE IN CONCERT" TOUR, which kicks off September 6 in Hershey, PA. The tour will make stops in cities across the U.S. and Canada with dates in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago and San Francisco and will feature special guest Bebe Rexha.

Demi Lovato is a singer, songwriter, actress, philanthropist and business woman with a fan base that includes 30 million die-hard Twitter followers, 21 million Instagram followers and nearly 37 million fans on Facebook. The multi-platinum selling recording artist recently released her debut smash single, 'Cool for the Summer' off her forthcoming fifth studio album due out later this year. Within hours of the summer anthem's launch, it trended worldwide and hit #1 on iTunes in 35 countries. Her latest album, Demi, hit #1 on iTunes in over 50 countries around the world. The lead single, "Heart Attack," earned Platinum status just ten weeks after its release, and was followed by top 5 radio smash and platinum single "Neon Lights" as well top 10 single on Top 40 radio, "Really Don't Care". The album supported two headlining tours (NEON LIGHTS and DEMI WORLD TOUR) throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. As an outspoken advocate for young people everywhere, Lovato has become a role model by being vocal about her personal experiences and speaking out against bullying among other issues. She serves as an official Ambassador for 'We Day' as well as 'Free the Children', and launched 'The Lovato Treatment Scholarship Program' which helps cover the cost of treatment for those struggling with mental health and/or addiction issues.

As part of its ongoing mission to deliver messages of HIV awareness and prevention to America's youth, the annual VMA/Lifebeat Benefit Concert has become a major staple in the lead-up to the VMA's, with concerts featuring on-the-verge artists and major acts, such as Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Maroon 5 and more. This is fourth consecutive year that Time Warner Cable has partnered with Lifebeat to present this concert.

The 2015 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS will be broadcast live on MTV August 30th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
