Nick Hakim is excited to announce spring 2018 solo tour dates with Adrianne Lenker of Brooklyn indie rock act Big Thief. They will be performing intimate shows in Brooklyn, Washington DC and more. Hakim is currently in Europe, opening shows for both Fleet Foxes and Bonobo, and will do his own run of headlining UK dates this coming February. Tickets are on sale now and all upcoming dates are listed below.

Hakim recently revealed a "powerful and intense" (The FADER) video for his song "Cuffed", which was directed by Daniel Kaufman and reimagines the Santeria rituals of the Venezuelan Maria Lionza cult. Throughout the video, the fierceness and devotion of the participants increases with the intensity of the song. Watch it HERE.

Hakim's debut album Green Twins (ATO Records) was released earlier this year to praise from critics and contemporaries, with list inclusions in Complex's 'Best Albums of the Year So Far', NPR Music's 'Favorite New Artists of 2017', and Pitchfork's 'Overlooked Albums of 2017', plus shout outs from artists ranging from Anderson Paak and Daniel Caesar to Lizzo and Lianne La Havas. Album track "Needy Bees" was featured in a steamy closing scene of HBO's Insecure, and "Slowly" was featured in an episode of Ava Duvernay's Queen Sugar.

Green Twins comes at the culmination of years chiseling his skills as a musician. Hailing from Washington, D.C., he grew up in a musical household-his older brother introduced him to bands like Bad Brains and Nirvana, and his parents exposed him to Nueva canción-while he set out on his own to discover the DC music scene. He didn't take an interest in learning an instrument until high school, when he taught himself to play the keys. After graduation, he moved to Boston to continue his study of music. In the time since moving to Brooklyn and setting to work for three years on Green Twins, he embraced the live circuit, both as a solo musician and with his band, whom he's brought together from within his community in Boston and New York.
