NexxThursday, Quavo and Lil Yachty Get Animated in Official Video for 'Sway'

Singer / rapper NexXthursday has remained a mystery by letting his music speak for itself and covering his face with his signature xX. With the viral success of his breakout single, "Sway" featuring Quavo and Lil Yachty, NexX seems to be on to something new in music and is going about it in a non-traditional way. "Sway" has garnered over 15M streams on Spotify, over 7M streams on Soundcloud and the lyric video has over 4.5M views. Today, he drops the official video for the track, which was directed by Super Deluxe, and has some animated fun with Quavo and Lil Yachty. "Sway" is the first single from NexXthursday's forthcoming EP, Natasha, due on 10/13.

"Sway was a record that was based on a true story of a wild night in the club and too much liquor," says NexX. "I wanted to connect the fun vibe that I felt that night to the record alongside a trendy hook. When I hear 'Sway', it just reminds me of fun vibes, so we wanted to go non-traditional with this video. I received great responses from the lyric video so I wanted to continue the concept by keeping it bright and fun. It's just a feel good song and visual."
