New Wilco Video for 'Someone to Love' Premieres Today on Pitchfork

Wilco unveiled a new video for the Schmilco track "Someone To Lose" today via Pitchfork Media. The darkly whimsical stop-motion animated clip, directed by Joseph Baughman, follows the tumultuous journey of a captive bride, a chivalrous groom and an enigmatic monster on an eventful wedding day. Wilco performed "Random Name Generator" Tuesday on the legendary BBC show Later with Jools Holland and performs three songs, "Someone To Lose" and "If I Ever Was A Child" from Schmilco and the aforementioned "Random Name Generator" from 2015's Star Wars on the full, expanded show that airs Friday in the UK and Thursday, Nov. 10 at 10 PM EST in the US on MTV Live. It was the band's fourth appearance on the show and it's first since 2007.

Wilco's European tour in support of Schmilco begins today with the first of two sold-out concerts at the Ancienne Belgique Theatre in Brussels. The tour's festival appearances include Rolling Stone Weekender in Weissenhauser Strand, DE and a curating role in Le Guess Who Festival in Utrecht, NL. Headlining show stops include Stockholm, Copenhagen, Norway, Paris, Milan, Berlin and more. The tour culminates with the band's largest London headlining concert ever at Brixton Academy on Nov. 29.

Schmilco, released on Sept. 9, is Wilco's 10th studio album and features 12 new songs written by Jeff Tweedy. It is the third Wilco release on the band's own dBpm Records.

Wilco's Solid Sound Festival returns to North Adams, MA on June 23-25, 2017.
