Poland's leading techno promoters are proud to announce they are hosting this first ever multi-day party, Instytut Festival, a unique coming together of music and art in a historic and breathtaking Polish fortress from June 22nd to 24th. Called Garnizon Modlin and located near Warsaw, the atmospheric fortress will boast three different stages headlined by the likes of Nina Kraviz, Marcel Dettmann, Oscar Mulero, Dax J, Headless Horseman, Kobosil, Randomer and many more, with another wave of artists yet to come.
Instytut have been putting on events for nearly twenty years in
Warsaw and have earned a fine reputation for bringing great line-ups to great venues, always with world class production. They understand and nurture real techno culture and have built up a following of people who love and respect what they do at the bi-annual events that see them convert Warsaw's Energy
Institute into a huge rave arena. Famous through Poland, these parties have an old school flavour with forward thinking production values and have been at the heart of the scene for many years.
Now they they step it up in a new and unique location with a seriously underground festival that puts all their know how to good use across three stages - Rave, Main and Underground. The whole event will be merging two concepts: music and art, and next to international DJs will be the most interesting artists from the visual art scene who will offer you a whole spectrum of audiovisual experiences.
The truly unique venue for this is The Citadel of Modlin Fortress-nowadays known as Garnizon Modlin-and it is the longest building in Europe and the second largest in the world. The spectacular fortress is located in the very heart of Poland, at the confluence of three rivers: the Vistula, the Narew and the Bug, in the immediate vicinity of picturesque sandy beaches hidden among forests and the phenomenal ruins of a historic granary. The Modlin Fortress has over 200 years of turbulent history contianeqnd within its walls and the Poles, the French, Russians and Germans fought for this pearl of
Napoleon and Tsar Nicholas I for many generations but now, in times of peace, it will be seized by electronic music lovers form around the world.
Musically, techno is the theme with world class DJs from the scene includingTrip boss Nina Kraviz, Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann, Tresor's hard techno devotee Oscar Mulero, new school champion Dax J who takes cues from IBM and EBM, LIEs and Clone associate Randomer, plus newly emergent Berghain resident and Ostgut Ton producer Kobosil plus Headless Horseman, Manoid, Orphx, Sigha, T A K A, Zariush and many more all lined-up across the Main and Rave stage with names for
Underground to be announced soon.
This is a proper techno festival with a carefully curated line-up all set to headline in a very special location that will make for a truly escapist and immersive location come June.
