Debbie Taylor's 'Top Of The World A Carpenters Tribute' successfully blends musical authenticity with soul stirring emotion. Carpenters aficionadas and oldies music lovers are indulged with a gourmet musical treat that combines their favorite nostalgic memories with the "WOW" factor of a lavishly composed orchestra. Taylor's captivating voice and style transports audiences back to a simpler time, when they first fell in love, and when everything was fresh and new. Taylor shared fascinating stories about favorite songs that revealed a sneak-peak into their history. Inspired, the audience connected to the artists' enchanting music as they happily clapped and sang during the interactive performance. Concert goers noted that Taylor's tribute was an "experience" where time stood still, and where their younger and older selves merged for a moment in time as Carpenter fans enjoyed an unparalleled interpretation of their favorite hits. Taylor's talent, girl-next-door good looks and warmth radiated and resonated with the audience. Some mentioned that the tribute music was even better than they originally remembered. At the end, the band received a non-stop, enthusiastic standing ovation.

How It Began Professionally singing for 30 years leading her own corporate/wedding band, people continually commented on the similarities between Debbie's and Karen Carpenter's voice urging her to perform a Carpenters tribute. Taylor loved their music, and understood its intrinsic value and lasting power.

To bring this special project to fruition, Debbie partnered with her longtime friend and accomplished musician Paul Stewart. Paul, a professional musician for over 40 years, is an amazingly diverse guitarist who can play any genre of music. He loved the Carpenters tribute idea and the opportunity to play beautifully orchestrated music. Taylor and Stewart brainstormed and excitedly jumped into their new musical venture. They rehearsed for months, had musical charts written, hired musicians, designed a logo and web site, created beautiful visual elements for the show's decor, made promotional videos, and booked performances. Today, Taylor's eight-piece tribute band exceeds expectations by bringing The Carpenters' music to life with exquisite musical arrangements including Debbie, two background vocalists, piano, guitar, multiple keyboards for strings, sax, Ewi, drums and bass. The tribute group performs the most authentic version of the Carpenters' greatest hits including "Close to You", "We've Only Just Begun", "Top of the World", "Superstar", "Rainy Days and Mondays" and "Please Mr. Postman", to name a few.

In less than one year, Taylor's 'Top Of The World A Carpenters Tribute' has gained enormous popularity selling out shows with eager audiences that have traveled near and far. Taylor and Stewart are thrilled to see their dreams coming true.
