Transcendent Pathways today announced their 2013 inaugural concert which will take place during Mental Illness Awareness Week on October 7 at 8:00 p.m. The performance will bring powerful live performances of new music to healthcare facilities where those under care may be feeling isolated and in need of human connection, including children's hospitals and nursing homes. Various musical works that highlight important themes such as forgiveness, redemption, and most importantly, transcendence will be included in the concert.

This year's performance will feature several of the Bay Area's top performers, including the Magik*Magik Orchestra, Nonsemble 6, and members of the Delphi Trio Liana Berube and Jeff LaDeur. Nonsemble 6 will perform the group's flagship piece Pierrot Lunaire, a breathtaking production of stage and music (an astounding feat performed from memory). Jeff LaDeur and Liana Berube will perform Arvo Part's Spiegel im Spiegel, one of the most celebrated works for piano and violin. Finally, the ever impressive Magik*Magik Orchestra will debut a world premier piece for orchestra entitled Agony/Ecstasy, written by an anonymous composer. With such a powerful message, and a stellar line-up of notably talented performers and ensembles, this is sure to be one of the most impactful concerts of the year.

The October 7 concert will take place at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (50 Oak Street, San Francisco). Admission will be FREE, and tickets can be reserved at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music box office (415-503-6275).
