Horse Matrix is the second studio album by the world's most feared entertainer, DRYNX. Produced and mixed by Jorge Elbrecht, the long-awaited sophomore album will be released worldwide on February 24th, 2017.

DRYNX (half man/half lynx) had previously released the critically acclaimed Imperial Blastman in 2014. During the time they began working on demos for Horse Matrix, DRYNX hit the gym heavily, experimenting with psychedelic steroids. This allowed him the clarity of mind to create songs like "Apocalypse Blues," "Windfarm," "Sniff Kangaroos" and "Dirty Lynx Mode."

Recorded between 64 Sound and Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, Horse Matrix is a 17-track magnum opus that will guide you through the island of Coconut Town. From pulling pranks by the pier, to hardcore weight lifting, to scoring from Linguido, it is a fully immersive portrait of life on the island. Drawing inspiration from Raffi, Bobby Brown, 80s video games, Lou Ferrigno, Calypso, Deep House, Macho Man Randy Savage, Megadeth and Rod Temperton, Horse Matrix allowed DRYNX to fully expose his inner LYNX MODE, as well as his commitment to physical fitness.

Mantras like "you've got to pump and trip / inject the mylk and lift" (Apocalypse Blues) and "save your kitten's liquid for the night time" (Likwyd Kitty) infect the listener at every turn. The bulk of these lyrics were written while on the treadmill at Pumphaus, DRYNX's favorite gym in Coconut Town. The remainder were written while resistance training inside the power cage at Body Rippers. He then brought the ideas to Elbrecht, who booked studio time and assembled a team of elite Brazilian jazz musicians to learn and record the arrangements. The musicians quit after a few days of working with DRYNX, so Elbrecht programmed the rest of the album's beats on his laptop.

Nevertheless, it was from this unique combination of heavy lifting, programming and jazz noodling that SKANTADA (SKAN - TAH - DAH) a combative musical art form characterized by the simultaneous act of scat singing and exercising to Brazilian jazz music, was born.

Horse Matrix and the Coconut Town animated web-series will open your mindpiece to the unique, tropically toxic world of DRYNX, the enigmatic half man/half lynx, otherwise know as the IMPERIAL BLASTMAN.

About Coconut Town:

Created by Jorge Elbrecht (Lansing-Dreiden, Ariel Pink) Alejandro Cardenas (Lansing-Drieden) and Kevin Faerkin (DRYNX,) the series portrays an phallus-shaped island overrun by extreme fitness goons led by DRYNX, the half-man / half-lynx entertainer (otherwise know as The Imperial Blastman.) Between scoring psychedelic steroids, hitting the gym and bullying protagonist Craig Stanton (the pink stork,) the storyline is steadily steeped in magic realism and absurdity. Featuring music by DRYNX off the forthcoming album Horse Matrix (produced and mixed by Elbrecht,) "Fritz Makes Molé" is an introduction to the gym habits and daily hijinks of the Coconut Town crew. Characters Bliff, Whispering Blastman, Stayne, Dolph Buffin, Murph Eddie, and Fritz all make an appearance, showing their muscle and knuckle-headed ways. The pilot hints at an eventual DRYNX show on the island later in the season, and episode 2 is rumored to involve a beach cook-out featuring toxic sea mutations.
