Nellie McKay Releases New 'Inner Peace' Promo Video

Incomparably unique song stylist, accomplished actress and arresting solo performer Nellie McKay has released a new promotional video for her anthem "Inner Peace" and a view of the performer along with band-mates, friends and more in the recording studio is available to view in the new clip.

See McKay hard at work in the studio, perfecting the production of a self-penned track, alternately cutting up a rug and letting the music take hold while she watches, plays and listens - and more.

Of note, besides starring in THE THREEPENNY OPERA on Broadway with Alan Cumming and Cyndi Lauper, McKay has recently been seen in a featured role in Off-Broadway's OLD HATS, providing musical narration to the idiosyncratic theatre piece. Also, her successful studio albums include GET AWAY FROM ME, PRETTY LITTLE HEAD, HOME SWEET MOBILE HOME and more.

"I don't need this / I don't see this / All I want is inner peace," go the lyrics of the chorus of the catchy, earworm tune with some particularly provocative, politically-themed lyrics - commonly characteristic of much of the material in McKay's impressive oeuvre thus far, as a matter of fact.

The original version of this new remixed "Inner Peace" appeared on McKay's freshman album GET AWAY FROM ME.
