Neal Morse Releases New Solo Album LIFE & TIMES Today Image

NEAL MORSE released his latest solo album, LIFE & TIMES, today on Radiant Records via Metal Blade Records/SONY on all digital outlets, including Radiant Records' website, as well as CD and vinyl.

The Stephen Yake/Christian Rios-directed third video from the already critically acclaimed album, "JoAnna," premiered exclusively onBigTakeover.com. The song is one of 12 slice-of-life portraits composed by MORSE, which focuses on his son dealing with the loss of a relationship.

"'JoAnna' is a very special song to me," explains NEAL MORSE. "It's one of those rare times when everything spontaneously comes together...the string arrangement, the pedal steel guitar, the drums and bass so tastefully done. It's one of the best tracks I've ever recorded in my opinion. So excited this album is coming out at this time!"

Widely regarded as one of the world's leading progressive rock ("prog") musicians, there is now no doubt that NEAL MORSE's desire to continue to move people through his music burns brighter than ever. Now in his mid-fifties and his children grown up, there is a sense onLIFE & TIMES that MORSE is looking around and taking stock.

As Metalwani.com praised, "With LIFE & TIMES, NEAL MORSE has crafted one of the most unique albums in his long and gifted career...it is mandatory listening to anyone who considers themselves a fan of his work." While Bloodygoodmusic.com hailed, "...NEAL MORSE has delivered once again. LIFE & TIMES is a great album from a great songwriter..." And Openthetrunk.com hailed, "Prog rocker Morse is a classic storyteller, so this venture into singer/songwriter territory fits his creative POV perfectly. Each song off of the album is like flipping the page of a book that you can't quite put down, and the controlled delivery of each chapter is a reminder that sometimes less is so much more, or in this case, so much Morse." MusicPlayers.com concluded, "LIFE & TIMES remains a substantial work of art worthy of several listens...This is artful storytelling delivered by a master craftsman."

In touring news, MORSE is hoping to move more people with these songs at some "absolutely solo" shows in cafes and small venues throughout the U.S. and Europe in 2018. The trek kicks off February 17 in Nashville, where MORSE currently resides, at The Foundry. Check out NEAL MORSE at the following tour stops:
