Broadway actress and YouTube sensation, Natalie Weiss, is set to release her debut recording, Natalie Weiss EP. The seven-track EP features Natalie covering an eclectic mix of popular tunes, including "Only Hope" and "Water Runs Dry". An original song, written exclusively for the recording, by Broadway composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown, is also included. Matt Hinkley provides music supervision and direction for the EP.
The Natalie Weiss EP is slated for a digital holiday release and will be available, for purchase on iTunes, beginning late December 2010. Hard copies of the recording become available for purchase, through "Friends of Sh-k-Boom" in January 2011, at The Sh-k-Boutique online store (www.sh-k-boom.com/friends.html).
Natalie is currently touring with the 25th Anniversary production of LES MISERABLES. Most recently, Natalie appeared in Broadway's EVERYDAY RAPTURE. On the 2nd National Tour of WICKED, she performed in the ensemble and understudied the role of Elphaba. Natalie can be heard on Scott Alan's "Keys", and on Jonathan Reid-Gealt's upcoming album, "Thirteen Stories Down". She is also a proud member of the Broadway Inspirational Voices led by Michael McElroy. Natalie traveled to Hollywood as a semi-finalist, on season four of American Idol, but is best known for her YouTube videos, which have collectively reached over 2.5 million views.
On January 17th, 2011, Natalie will present an evening of songs to celebrate the release of her debut EP at Trattoria Dopo Teatro in New York City. Tickets are currently on sale for the 7:00 P.M. and 9:30 PM shows. For more information on purchasing tickets, visit: www.natalieweiss.net
