Nashville's Amanda Cooksey To Perform At The Music City SongStar Awards Showcase  Image

Nashville country and pop singer/songwriter Amanda Cooksey will sing her winning song "Girl in the Mirror" at the Music City SongStar Awards Showcase at the historic Leiper's Fork Distrillery in Franklin, TN on Saturday, April 13, 2019. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. CDT.

Amanda Cooksey is one of the fall 2018 songwriting competition winners of the Music City SongStar Awards who will showcase her song along with winners: Jeff Livsey, Emma Lynn White, Lauren Weintraub, Abby J. Hall, and Augusta Ray. There will also be special performances by recording artist Jackson Wells and songwriter Kathy Ashworth.

The Music City SongStar event is proudly presented by Foxhedge Music. All proceeds from the event go to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children).

Amanda writes and collaborates with Nashville songwriters (including Grammy-nominated songwriters). She previously opened for Michael Ray in his hometown of Eustis; performed at FMF Music Festival, Deland Songwriter's Music Festival, Daytona Music Festival, Nashville State Fair, Opry Mills Mall, BB Kings, The Duberliner, The Row and The VIP Area at the Sounds of Summer Tour with Dierks Bentley, Kip Moore, Maddie & Tae, and Canaan Smith.

Amanda has been performing, writing and recording for over 6 years. Her songs have charted on the Music Row Charts and had radio airplay. She's a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), and also a member of the American Society of Composers (ASCAP) as a publisher and songwriter.

Amanda is a music philanthropist and volunteers with Tunes for Tots to help Make a Wish and Simon House. In addition, Amanda founded her own 501c3 called "Manda's Musical Hope" that raises money and awareness through musical performances for organizations that support cancer.
