Nahko will extend the My Name is Bear Tour with additional performances in 2018. The 15-stop tour will begin in on February 28th in Burlington, VT and will make stops in Providence, Syracuse, and Charlotte among others before wrapping at the Reggae Rise Up festival in St. Petersburg, FL on March 18th. Tickets will be available this Friday, October 20th at https://nahko.com/tour-dates/

Nahko's full U.S. and European headline tour will begin October 18th in Boston, MA and will take Nahko and Medicine For The People throughout North America and Europe before concluding on December 2nd in Bristol, UK. Special guests 1000 Fuegos and Christina Holmes will join Nahko for the U.S. leg and Sound of the Sirens will accompany him in Europe.

Earlier this month Nahko released the first single from My Name is Bear,"Dragonfly," along with the accompanying music video featuring his friend Paris Jackson. The single has been featured on Spotify's "The Most Beautiful Songs in the World." The album's second single, "Be Here Now," is now available to stream on Spotify and iTunes

Nahko's debut solo album, My Name is Bear, will be released on Friday, October 20th. It predates Nahko's rise to mythos among diehard fans of Medicine for the People. As he puts it, the album serves as a "prequel," that artfully merges rustic acoustic guitars, upbeat energy, tribal flavors, fiery percussion, and ponderous lyrics. Much of My Name Is Bear is informed by a time in Nahko's life spent in search of and reconciling his reunion with his birth mom, who had given him up at the age of 15 after being thrust into unthinkable circumstances.
